Modifying the status
- If a status displayed in the status bar can be modified by the user, provide an option to directly change it here (e.g. changing the display unit from centimeter to inch).
- Make sure that the option is also accessible via the menu (directly or in a dialog).
- Do not duplicate the toolbar.
- Instead, if the status option is given in a docker, it may be useful to also provide it in the status bar where it is shown permanently.(e.g. zoom in graphics applications).
