Human to human communication is reach of signals that show e.g. if something was understood or not (like, 'I see', 'really', 'ok', 'strange', ...). Without this, communicatin would be much less certain. The same is valid for human computer interaction. The user needs feedback about his or her actions, especially when it conveys several steps.
